GoldQuest
I was made to write this post as I was approached by at least ten people last month alone for joining this “GoldQuest” or “Questnet” or “Referral Marketing” or whatever it is.
Heard about this “Gold quest” from a not so familiar friend three months before and first thing I did was to search in web about that company. I have listed out some points which stopped me from investing in this. I invested in a mutual fund rather.
1) Google search for “Questnet” throws an alarming number of sites that cautions against this company.
2) Modify the search with “Questnet Scam” and it fetches many more pages which cries foul against Questnet.
3) There are quite a large number of people who support “Questnet” in forums and blog posts but I am highly suspicious on the legitimacy of those people under different names as they sound so similar in their writings. I suspect that only a few people posts replies under different names in forums and blogs which attacks “Questnet”. It certainly raises suspicions.
4) The group’s MD and his associate have been issued a red alert notice by Interpol and have been arrested by Indonesian police.
5) It’s banned in some countries like Iran, Sri Lanka, Nepal etc… GoldQuest officials have been arrested in Chennai too in past. Search “Questnet” or “Goldquest” with “The Hindu” in Google for more details.
6) Moreover, I decided to dig details about their website and the result was shocking. They boast of that they use Internet as their business tool in this connected world and yet they have registered their domain as a discreet user!!!!
Do a “WhoIS” lookup for any traditional business company’s website and you will be provided with the registrar’s details and contact information. But what about Quest.net? Check this screenshot of WhoIS lookup on Quest.net(Click to enlarge)
P.S:-
1) Personally, Questnet don’t have a solid business model at all as it doesn’t rely on its products but on concentrating on the quick money people will get.
2) Questnet is completely legal in India as of now and I decided not to invest based only on their business practices.
3) I’m very grateful to those friends who understood my stand and never compelled or even asked me to join this.

I really surprised looking at the points you have mentioned which shows that you have searched a lot about the company and you also agree that what ever information you have provided is with your personal view. Look as you know a coin has two sides the same way there are two sides for everything in the world one is positive, and the other is negative, The same way even quest have two sides positive and the negative and your search results proofs to me that you have just gone through the negative sides not to the positive sides. It has more than 20 offices in the world out of which four are in India and if the leaders were arrested in Chennai then y Chennai is still the Headquarter of Quest-India?
And about the Interpol thing, let me tell you one thing the people who were arrested had nothing to do with the company, it was actually their personal matter because of which the leader was arrested,
Even in Chennai it was some personal issue with the people not any issue with the company.
The people were earning, are earning and will be earning in this business only we are the people who will be just searching about the company and wasting our time.
Because Questnet is in market since 1998.
Look and it is banned in iran because of the country relations, it has nothing to do with the business plan or with the policy of the company.
There are many things which I can tell you about this and I can answer all your objections about this business.
The website is secured by VeriSign and i am sure you know about Verisign.

1st step- U register and Buy — U have coin only company- 30000
2nd step- u bring two direct referrals– You have coin only-Company has 90000
3rd step- they bring two referrals each— U have coin and 1st cheque of 10,000 and company has 2,10,000
4th step- they bring two refferals each—U have Coin and 2nd Cheque of 10000 so total you have 20,000, persons who joined at step 2 have coin and 1st cheque of 10000, so total money in incentives paid is 40000 total and company has 4,50,000
5th step-they also bring two refferrals each— U have coin and cheques which when added to all u have already earned come to 40,000, persons joined at second step have coin and 20,000 each and people at step 3 get their first cheque of 10,000 and people at step 4 have coin only and company has 9,30,000
and here 7 members who have atleast some cheques but 24 people have nothing but just the coin
6th step 15 are earning but 48 have nothing
7th step 31 are earning but 96 have nothing but just coin
8th step 63 are earning but 192 have nothing.
9th step 31 have recovered money, 96 get little and 384 have nothing
and so on…
But always the no. who have only the coin is always much much more than the who have earned atleast some money.

So always the ones at the bottom of the pyramid are the losers… And the only way left for them to move upwards in the pyramid(ie: earn money) is to lure others into the last layer. This is done after realizing that the last layer is always the losers. It is a sad fact that in the frenzy to get back the lost money relationships are often forgotten. It is often your close friends or family members who occupy the layer under you. Even then the chances that you will make money is very remote.
It is clear that the company, including the few people at the very top layer are making huge profits.. The sad fact is that the money thus generated is not even being used in INDIA. It is flowing out of India. This is the same money that could very well be spent in strengthening our economy. If you buy a kg of rice not only are you investing in something that is useful to you, but also, you are indirectly supporting the family of some poor farmer somewhere.

Actually its a Zero Sum game, the loss of people at the bottom is the profit of people at the higher level of pyramid. Any thing which is Zero sum is actually a Zero sum. I mean its a Win-Loss business, one gets benefit at the loss of large no. people. As far as ethics are concerned, its depend upon individual to individual, we all know everybody wont be able to recover money, still if we use our personal influence that person may join (but it right ??).
Actually its my personal opinion that anything which is zero sum is not good. Any business model which deliver values, kind of WIN-WIN deal, that’s better …..
What they are doing, taking 30k giving 8k thing. Thus person who is joining immediately loosing 22k. This 22k they distribute in the hierarchy upto 6 level, means one persons 22k loss is the profit of 6 level (2k each). Basicaly company will earn huge money, people at bottom will loose huge money and few people at good level at hierarchy will earn average to good amount of money.
I strongly believe these kind of business practices are not so good (some may even call it cheating), BUt its only my personal view. At the end of the day, what u do ?? cheat your own near and dear ones. Is’nt it ??
Even i see good amount of money in this business practice, but i personally won’t join. I hope people should rather join some win-win business model, where cost of product can justify the amount of initial investment. (Not like spending 30 k for max 8k(they say 16k) product).

Bala: Don’t write anything without sense. I don’t know when Quest sponsored F1!!! Do you know what’s the meaning of sponsorship? Displaying advertisements in race tracks doesnt mean it sponsors F1!! One can sposnsor individual teams or FIA which governs the sport. I can’t find any reference where Quest sponsors any team or FIA(Check their websites). I admire that u bought a benz and skoda with ur Goldquest earnings. How many of the people below beyond 5th level of your chain have a skoda or benz? It’s nothing but their bucks you used for ur skoda. So if they want to buy a skoda they have to poach some people and make them join below in their chain. I can simply say that you take money from other people and make it yours and so other people follow suit by taking money from others without any value or product at all. It’s not business, Gentleman! A business has to based on a service,product or a value. Where is that in Goldquest?

If GoldQuest is a Genuine company, why it was banned in Srilanka and other countries?? If you are not not ready to prove your genuineness why did you left those countries. You should be able to prove that you are are genuine and not frauds. Can you tell where is Vijay Easwaran?. In India, there is leak in Politics. Our Finance Minister and his wife were supporting(bribed), hence no one can do nothing against this FRAUDS. Let God save the Indians from these spammers. The one and only motto of theses spammers is “Be Selfish, you can be rich soon”.

I do accecpt with u r words, but dont ever say i got skoda from others money , lakshmi , if i have all indians in my chain then u can say that i used others ( indians money ) to get the skoda, I am doing this business in different way ,, the botton line in my chain is not the indians , they are from swiss, calaforinia, new jersy , austrilia , south africa, and dubai . so the bottom of the business is running out side india so all my indian downlines are getting benifited , so the downlines under me are rich , i am doing continous investigations on my downlines on how many are not getting cheques weekly , if some one is not getting , i will introduce one foriegner in that line and make the line to go very smoothly ,.,, not tell me am i using indians money to run my luxury life????

i do agree , it was banned in srilanka. it was around a year back. we - Gold quest faced the tough times there in srilanka,as it was smelled by some of big shots and politicians as the huge money flowing business.( business nature was like that ) . they asked the higher officials in questnet about the partnerships to run in srilanka. our board rejected that sort and they launched the complain in police and the case was in the court . finally we have to close the operation in srilanka some years back. also that hard time , we are able to get 100 plus signups from srilanka . now it is running smoothly in srilanka… hope i answered your point . also boss you mentioned other countries .. can u be specific on the name of countries..
for your informations : - in China we dont have the gold quest business.as the chineese laws and government policies says no Chain , MLM, Reference marketing companies alloewed in china. so no gold quest in china and no amway , oriflame , modicare in china..

in srilanka , it is running very very successful now. we - gold quest not ran out from srilanka. do you know the leader in srilanka . her name is ceylon Bharathi .. she faced very hard times in srilanka from government and politicians. but do know know her weekly sign ups .. she is making 600 plus weekly ..

in the starting i used to bring my frnds for presentation but to no avail.. none of them joined.. n i didnt wanted to force them… slowly i lost the interest

I accept your answers. But as a man with humanity, I found a way to eradicate the failures. If 2 persons join under you, dont get that 30K from him and dont give a product.(i dont know the business structure. I guess this is possible) Just join them only with the Registration. When each of them bring two persons, then collect that 30K from each of them. Then they may follow the same policy. If you/they cannot bring 2 persons(minimum), ask them to leave and transfer it some other persons who has the ability to do the business. This may help in eradicating the person from failures.
I think this can be followed to save 90-95% failures and 5% success in GoldQuest. This is my view only. Tell me if there is any pitfall in this view.
The one who cannot bring 2 persons below them were named fools(or lazy people) and left with the coin that worth 3-4K by paying about 30K. The food taken by earning in this way willnot be digested. And the curse of the people who lost their hard earned money willnot allow GQ members to lead a peaceful life.

Without Knowing your ability, why did you joined this business. In GQ, there were trainers who can canvass you easily where your greed will overtake your common sense. This is the punishment for your ignorance. Learn lessons from this mistake and dont get cheated in future. Also warn your firends about this. If earning and being selfish is your only attitude you can continue joining your friends/others and make them worry like you. It is upto you to proceed or to quit.

i tried that strategy ,, but that will not work , instead that will create more problems, what is suggest is , before getting into the business, better as them 2 following points,
will he ready to work like the way the business concept is
will he ready to join after understanding the busienss and the also check with him , he is joining with his fullest interest
any more doubts boss, but i feel that some one wrongly explained the GQ concepts and busienss plans , so better to learn that , and then critisise ,, till then u please dont spread bad things about gold quest ,asd this is the good concept , boss, as for as i know it is the best scheme to earn ethically

I dont mind if you follow the way or not that I suggest. ()I learnt that in this 5%-10% are earning and 90%-95% are loosing their full 30K. What I intended to tell is, if you/GQ members follow this way, INDIANS/INDIA can escape from a great robbery going on. If the one which I told was followed, 99% people(who joined) will gain. I dont know what problem you faced in following this?. Did it stopped you/GQ from cheating others? or did it stopped you/GQ from earning others hard earned money? It is better to follow this way instead of grabing other’s money.
(If 2 persons join under you, dont get that 30K from him and dont give a product.(i dont know the business structure. I guess this is possible) Just join them only with the Registration. When each of them bring two persons, then collect that 30K from each of them. Then they may follow the same policy. If you/they cannot bring 2 persons(minimum), ask them to leave and transfer it some other persons who has the ability to do the business. This may help in eradicating the person from failures.)

I think you are very eager to join. Ok fine. But before paying the money (30K), go with 2 persons who will be below you as A1 and A2. Check that if they can bring 2 persons below them through their contacts. only then you can succeed. If you/they sit simply, they will spoil your money and their money. Its upto you to loose or gain. ##2 regarding the MRP , the value of the gold coin will be around Rs3500. Why the GQ is collecting 30K. Why are they exceeding the MRP. This is also a type of cheating.

I dont care about the business or their cheating plans… I learnt that in this GQ schema, 95% lost their money and 5-10% are earning. Even some of my friends joined and they are now carrying a watch which was sold to them for 30K.The business with such kind of results willnot help the Indians in any way.

Dont compare love with cheating. It is also out of the box. Love is the personal thing between a boy and girl. They can decide their future.

Sorry. I have no idea of joining. The reason is as I said above. Even one lost their money, it is similar to cheating them. So it is better not to join. Did all the members below you retained their money. surely not. Eventhough it may be foreigners. Cheating is always named cheating despite of countries. The people in the other countries were also Human and not animals.
So far how much did you earned?? Are you satisfied with the amount you earned? Certainly not. The money which you earned willnot stay with you for a long time. sorry. that will happen one day. My advice is try to help others to reduce your sins. Dont continue to recruit more and more below you. It is their money. Who are you to get 30K for a product worth Rs 5000. I confimed that the gold coin is 3gm and not 6g. You willnot be earning the same amount of income for a long time. Note it down. Ideally everyone joining can earn money. But practically it is impossible.
You can say that we can earn as far as we can. But I cant sleep with other’s money with me after cheating them.
