(Fake) E-book of Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows
This ebook is doing rounds here in the web.I’m not going to provide links to it.Sorry.It just breaches the terms and conditions i agreed with WordPress. This book is most probably a fake one.I just read three pages and felt that it’s style is not at all like that of JKR. Rather, if it’s the original one i will be disappointed with JKR. Let it not be the leaked original.
Update:-
It seems Google is listing my blog as one of the top result for HP and Deathly Hallows ebook. For those who came here thru Google and found nothing here, try the following links.

Firefox Spell Checker
I have no idea of writing this post until i found that Firefox spell checker tool had helped me found around 25 typos(disgusting) in my previous two posts. Its so cool. When Firefox 2.0 came with this feature i really wondered whether its such an useful tool?I’m wrong.Firefox rocks!
Find Firefox Spelling Dictionary hacks here. (Linked this, not to make this post a total self ranting crap).
Box.net not accepting uploads
I felt excited when WordPress announced they are releasing a Box.net(a file sharing service) widget. Thought of trying it out.But Box.net says its not accepting uploads temporarily, for the past two hours.Box.net is losing valuable customers coming through WordPress.Sigh.Box.net,Make hay while the sun shines!
Google History!A helpful tool.
I thought of trying out the new Google history(previously Search History). Its really good and they had made a major revamp in design and usability. It also has a Trends section which lists our top searches, top sites and top clicks. It provides us a nice graph of our yearly, monthly and hourly search patterns.Really good. This tool can be also used as a quick bookmarker. Just search about a site in Google and its automatically recorded.View it later in History and you can just star it(as in Gmail) to add to your bookmarks.Great!I just came across a nice Firefox extension,Platypus for writing Greasemonkey scripts and i simply searched for it in Google and found related site which i can later refer in my home thru History to install that extension.Google, you are making my life a lot simpler! Thanks.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Its about ten days since the covers for different editions of HP and DH were released. But my project works hindered me digging up the web for images.Found it just now and thought of putting it in blog.US Edition cover is stunning! It features both Harry and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named(I’m preventive,I care about my blog) standing amongst ruins in an orange sky background. The first thing that struck me on seeing this image is Harry’s most famous and prominent scar in his forehead is missing (Why?). UK Child Editon cover sucks and its no match for US one(Its super childish for even children,Mary GrandPre).Adult version features a Slytherin locket in a pleasing black background.Half-blood Prince’s cover is better than these for sure. But its not bad,it looks good.
The book is scheduled to be released worldwide on July 21.The OoTP movie also scheduled to be released on July 13. Surely July will be a truly great month for HP fans.Has July arrived?

Update:-I made a grave error in this post.I had named this post as “Harry Potter and Deadly Hallows” .It should have been “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”.Sorry.However this error brought me a lot of traffic through search engines.Oh!Many are out there like me who misspelled the name and searched for it.Folks, its “Deathly” not “Deadly”.
Trips to Remember…
We have been visiting our friends’ homes for the past three weeks. It just started suddenly with all of our guys deciding to boycott Hostel Day and thinking of a place to go on that day.Mullai invited all of us to his home and that started of a series of trips i cant forget in my life.So went to his home(Madurai) and had great moments there.Mayoor and Nagaraj also were from Madurai and they invited us to their homes. After Mullai’s home our next stop was at Mayoor’s home(visited Eco Park enroute). His home lies in the heart of Madurai City and i am pretty excited about that(I havent been there many times).Got a chance to have a glimpse of Meenakshi Amman Temple.(I have to make a visit there within these college days). Really enjoyed there in Mayoor’s home with a variety of Snacks and icecream he offered.(cant forget playing with Jia too). Then to Nagaraj’s home where we have planned to stay overnight. His parents were too kind to us and they made us feel that we were Kings.Next day went to AlagarKoil(a hill abode of Lord Muruga) near the city. I have never been before to such kind of place where one has to climb the hill thru a path surrounded by trees and frequent bullying by monkeys for eateries. Then came back to hostel that night completing our first leg of our trip.

Second leg of our trip is to Kerala, native state of Manoj where “We” have been inivted for a family function by him.Im pretty thrilled about visiting Kerala,as its a world famous tourist destination. We went there on a three day trip. His home is in a village near Kayamkulam, a town.First day,we reached Kayamkulam by train and were put up in a hotel booked by Manoj’s brother. That evening,we went to Alapuzha, a nearby town which is famous for its beaches, backwaters and boat houses.Had a nice time in beach there with all of us playing with waves.Returned with a lot of sand in our dresses.Function was on next day and went to his home to attend the function. Its a nice small village where everyone seems to be interested in us visiting there.Enjoyed there too seeing fertile lands, rubber plantations, temple and watching guys bathing and playing in a pond.Next day we moved to Trivandrum, capital city of Kerala. A section of us went to see Abishta Mam(She teached us in third semester when i hadnt started blogging else i would have surely mentioned about her) who is working there in a nearby college.Great experience visiting her college. Then went to Kovalam ,which has world renowned beaches.I have been there to Kovalam before visiting a beach, but now only came to know it has two other nice beaches other than i went to.On visiting the beaches only understood why they were world famous.Sea is crystal clear there like one i havent seen anywhere before.Played there too a lot and took the overnight train back to dindigul.
It will take years beyond my life to forget these sweet memories. The thought of leaving my friends and college really will cost something in my life.
More photos of Madurai Trip can be found here.Photos of Kerala Trip is here
P.S:-
1. In Kerala trip “We” implies Me,Mayoor,Mullai,Vijay,Manoj,Senthil,Sankar,Muthu, Joe,Barani,Arun,Sengol,Thenappan. In Madurai trip “We” implies most of the guys of CSE.
2.I thought Kerala has a humid climate, but its frigging hot there now.its even hotter than TamilNadu.
3.We cant find a decent and nice restaurant there in Kerala towns(except in Trivandrum).Im disgusted with Kerala food.
4.Trivandrum City is not the same now as that of I had visited six years before. Its like any other Indian city now
5.Kerala has the best roads i have ever seen(Trivandrum City is an exception).Nearly all the roads there were smooth and potholes free.Good!
Twittering…………
Its so hard to keep off.Its just two days since i started using Twitter. How it made me addicted? The thing which mainly attracted me in Twitter is its friends network.I can update my friends What am I doing now and vice versa. Its even better than Orkut Scraps.Next is its mobile integration.I would have never used Twitter if it doesnt offer me receive updates as text messages in my mobile. Its fun and interesting to watch guys just discuss.Yesterday Scoble and Dave were discussing about Kathy and I enjoyed just reading it in my mobile.I can just post a question to my friends and enjoy reading replies pouring in as text messages.I received approximately 70 messages 4m twitter yeseterday and enjoyed reading most messages. It might be useful technically as well by just listening to two geeks or developers discussing over a problem. Its just some kinda sharing information made easier.
The two coolest things I experienced in Twitter were the cricket updates from crictimes and getting my favourite blog updates to mobile using twitterfeeds.
Twitter rocks!Im somewhat obsessed and addicted to it.It will take days for my twitter addict to wear off i think.
P.S:-Im linking people to their Twitter pages rather than their blogs. It just exposes my Twitteromania….
