New year and a surprise

with 5 comments

A happy and prosperous new year to

1)all the followers of this blog(not a single soul)

2)those who came here by a missed keystroke or a link that should have been not clicked(Anyway, I caught you guys.)

3)ones who searched in Google for something useful and it baited you to come here instead(Who is this idiot who writes here? I want to punch him on the face)

4)and to all those who are never going to read this.

And coming to the surprise of this year,I was busy thinking how to wish you all in my post when i came across this news. And started checking the page ranks of those numerous indian websites, blogs and craps just for fun and at last looked up my blog’s PR(believe me) to see how “0” is actually displayed there. But wait, I see a different number. Is it negative? No. Then what? Hey, It’s a ‘2’. Yet I admit , ‘2’  is not considered a page rank at all.

Already conspiracy theorists has submitted facts that this blog is a crap and it may have been a bug in Google’s Page rank and attributed to the fact that it is hosted in wordpress.com which has a PR of 9.Whatever it is, it’s still there and it may have gone when you read this so I have taken a screen shot to those who don’t trust me and it will be sent to those who send an email to me with subject “I know you are telling the truth.”

Long live my blog!!!!

P.S: Check your own page ranks here and have a egoistic joy or dismay secretly.

Free from Snap!

with 2 comments

Yet another post under blogging category. After rants and posts about pros and cons of Snap,i finally removed it from my blog.During its stay in the blog it remained as an distraction and irritation rather than being useful. So the first thing i did after logging in today is removing it.Any other new features to try,Wordpress?

Can’t Google give me a custom url?

with 5 comments

My Last post is enough to show my affection for google reader. But i hate one nastiest thing in it.The url they give for my shared items is damn unrememberable.Cant they give me a custom url or atleast a rememberable url like bloglines?I would be happy to see the url of my shared items as google.com/reader/shared/blntechie or something else similar to this.My present url goes like http://www.google.com/reader/shared/07552733021694150028. Isn’t it looking ugly?Any other bloggers blogging this? Are Google guys listening?

Getting on with Reader and Feeds

leave a comment »

Its already around ten days since i started using Google Reader.Want a Review?Go to Google and search for “Google Reader,Scoble”.You can find enough and enough there. In my words its awesome.I had read around 800 posts approx for these ten days which i have never done before and shared some of them too.RSS and Reader has changed my life and my way of reading blogs. Before using Google Reader you could have looked over my shoulders to see a lot of tabs opened in Firefox and struggling to cope up with it.RSS has made it simple.Scoble says its fast.Yeah, true but in my college leased line.I have not yet tried it on my extremely slow dial-up in home and i will update the experience of “Reader in dial-up”.

Update:-GR works fine in dial-up but dont expect lightning speed in it.
